The Art of Magic has many branches. I was drawn to Close Up; conjuring tricks worked with ordinary objects like coins, playing cards, perhaps a cigarette is pulled out of thin air, torn to bits and restored inches away from your eyes. I began working in bars and saloons; I performed on the street, perfecting my craft. From there came social engagements and corporate events.  Now, in addition to entertaining, I use my Art to help others promote their own business.

It was a great honor for me when Slydini picked me to be one of his featured students in his final book "The Magical World of Slydini". In his dedication he wrote:   "To my fine student Dennis Barlotta. May this book remind you of the many many hours necessary to reach perfection.
